Drunk Driving Lawsuit

A restaurant in New York City is being sued after fueling a drunken driving accident that killed a student from Cyprus. Attorney Sanford Rubenstein filed a lawsuit against Cavo CafĂ© Lounge on behalf of the family of Panayiota Demetriou. He is accusing the Lounge of contributing to Demetriou’s death in November by serving the driver Daryush Omar “an unreasonable amount” of alcohol before the crash. Omar has been sentenced to 3 ½ to 10 ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter.
